On April 13, 2026, Hon. Ebenezer Alumire Ndebilla, Member of Parliament for the Zebilla constituency, and Hon. James Ayamwego, the District Chief Executive for the Bawku West District, officially launched the construction of a 6-unit classroom block, accompanied by a 12-seater toilet facility for the communities of Narigu and Ziboko.

This essential educational infrastructure, funded by the Ghana Education Trust Fund (Getfund), marks a significant advancement for local residents, who will benefit from a more conducive learning environment.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Hon. Donatus Akamugri Atanga, the Regional Minister, who also addressed the attendees. In his remarks, Hon. Ndebilla emphasized the commitment to completing these projects promptly, highlighting that the recent uncapping of Getfund and other statutory funds by H.E. John Dramani Mahama has revitalized the sector, enhancing its capability to deliver projects within the stipulated timelines.

Additionally, Hon. Donatus Akamugri Atanga reinforced the administration’s dedication to addressing developmental challenges effectively, with a focus on improving the quality of life for citizens. Hon. James Ayamwego encouraged community members to support the contractors through labor and other forms of assistance as construction progresses.
