The Bawku West District Assembly held its district farmers day celebration on Friday, 5^th December, 2025 at the fore court of the Assembly block. Present to grace the occasion were Traditional Authorities, Heads of the various Security Agencies and Departments, Hon. Assembly Members and Distinguished Farmers among other distinguished guests.

The chairman for the occasion was the distinguished Hon. Sule Agolise who chaired the occasion to a successful end. He thanked the Assembly for showing commitment to Agricultural development by renovating the District Agric Offices.

The DCE, Hon. James Ayamwego and the District Director of Agric, Madam Diana Akumanue took turns to address the occasion on Government’s commitment to Agric development and successes chalked by the district in Agriculture respectively.

Distinguished farmers were given awards with the over-all best farmer going to Mr. Ben Anyorigi from Kusanaba.
