WORLD VISION GHANA DONATES DELIVERY BEDS TO ENHANCE MATERNAL HEALTH SERVICES IN BAWKU WEST
On May 20, 2025, World Vision Ghana made a significant donation of four delivery beds to the Zebilla Health Directorate. The beds will be distributed to health facilities in need within the Bawku West District, enhancing maternal health services and promoting safe childbirth. Joseph Edwin Yalkabong, Bawku Cluster Programme Manager for World Vision Ghana, spearheaded the donation initiative.
The delivery beds were received by Hon. James Ayamweogo, the District Chief Executive (DCE) of Bawku West District, who assured World Vision Ghana that the equipment would be utilized effectively to support safe delivery services in the health sector. The District Health Director for Bawku West, Cosmos Mimyila, received the delivery beds on behalf of four beneficiary health centers: Komaka CHPS Compound, Tarikom CHPS, Kobougo CHPS, and Yelwoko Health Centre.
Mimyila expressed heartfelt gratitude to World Vision Ghana for their support in the area of maternal health, highlighting the positive impact the delivery beds would have on expectant mothers in the district. This donation is part of World Vision Ghana’s ongoing efforts to improve healthcare outcomes in the region.
