The Bawku West District Peace Symbol was launched today, April 10, 2026. This follows the successful Peace Building Fund Project, jointly funded by UNFPA and UNDP, which promoted peace and social cohesion.

The symbol, erected by UNFPA, UNDP, the Upper East Regional Coordinating Council, and Youth Harvest Foundation Ghana, represents the project’s achievements and commitment to sustaining peace.

Hon. James Ayamwego, DCE of Bawku West, led the launch ceremony.
